Are you excited for Major League Baseball season to get started? This is the best time of the year for both teams and fans. Everybody has renewed optimism regardless of what happened last season, or what is expected in the months to come. The fact of the matter is that every team starts the season with the same record!

When it comes to the favorite to win the World Series, a few teams definitely come to mind. First off, you have to think about the New York Yankees when you think about favorites. They added some much needed talent in order to get back to the top, and it appears that this may be the year that they do so. Of course, other teams in the American League, such as the Boston Red Sox, may have a bit to say about this. They also beefed up their roster with the likes of Daisuke Matsuzaka and many more.

On the National League side, the St. Louis Cardinals look to be the best team once again. They will have some stiff competition from the Los Angeles Dodgers, Philadelphia Phillies and a couple of others for the best record in the league.

The bottom line is that predictions are just that; they are guesses. Even the most knowledgeable fans and media personnel have no idea of saying for sure what is going to unfold as the season progresses. But at this time it is just nice to think that everybody has a chance!
