Transformers: More than just a movie
May 31, 2007
With the new movie, Transformers (2007) set to come out on July 4th, 2007, it has come to my attention to scour the world wide waves in search for proof that in fact a Transformer actually exists. After all in this day and age, someone has to of attempted to create one.
I saw plenty of wanna-be mustangs with stickers and symbols plastered all over the body, but that does not a true Decepticon make!
I never did actually find one, but I did find a vehicle called the Super Robot Car, not particularly an original name, but hey, some engineers are not particularly the most original of thinkers. It is poised as a pretty extreme modified vehicle at first glance…

At secon glance, the Bot is made out of a Kia Besta Van (You wouldn’t want to ruin a really cool car I suppose).

The designer is Olisio da Silva and the vehicle cost $122,000 to create. It stands 12 feet at full transformation.
Considering it takes about 6 minutes to actually transform I would say that it would pretty much be demolished by the time it got around to being battle ready, but the concept is still pretty cool.
I guess the movie, Transformers, is about as good as it’s going to get… for now!
