More Trouble for Pacman
June 26, 2007
As you have probably heard, Adam Pacman Jones recently surrendered in Las Vegas on two felony charges stemming from the strip club melee that took place a couple months ago. After posting $20,000 in bail, Pacman is back on the street. But of course, this does not mean that all of his problems are behind him. In fact, they are just about to begin for this troubled star.
Pacman will return to Las Vegas in July to face criminal charges. If convicted, he could be fined up to $10,000, and quite possibly spend up to 12 years in prison. Although it is unlikely for him to get the maximum penalty, there is no way of saying for sure how things will shake out.
Additionally, Pacman is being sued by one of the bouncers who was shot during the strip club altercation. He also claims that he was bitten by Pacman as well.
Pacman was suspended by the NFL for the 2007 season, and it is hard to believe that this is the least of his problems. Even if he has the chance to walk away from this incident without jail time, there is a better than average chance that he is going to be let go by his current team, the Tennessee Titans.
It does not appear that things can get any worse for Pacman. And hopefully, this is the case. It is a shame to think that such as great talent is going to be wasted by foolish acts, time and time again.
