Top Movies for the summer of 2007… (so far…)

July 19, 2007

We have been treated to a pretty good summer folks as far as movies go. Summer is always the time when Hollywood likes to release a few of their best and after last years disappointment, I would say that they came back with a vengeance, the Vengeance of Bruce Willis and his fourth installment of the Die Hard series, “Live Free or Die Hard.”

I have always been a Bruce Willis fan and if you are too, this film should not disappoint. Of course there are those who will be making fun of Bruce using a walker, popping Viagra pills and forgetting which bad guy he was about to kick the butt of… but they obviously have not seen the film yet!

“Transformers” is awesome! Even if you are not a fan, you will surely love the cars, humor and action packed sequences that will have on at the edge of your seat. And when I say edge of your seat, you will be looking to get over to your local Chevrolet dealer to pick-up that new Camaro! But waste your time not, you still have quite a bit of time to wait until it’s released.

Just get a black Saleen Mustang to hold you over until then…

“Ratatouille” is another summer blockbuster in the family oriented sense. It is actually a darn good movie and I would say that it is even a good first date flick. Unless, that is you’re taking out Paris Hilton or Britney Spears, then you should just save face, stay home and knit them an underwear and bra set that will not fall off…

“Fantastic Four” was certainly not a disappointment and I would go as far to say that as a sequel, it should be up there in the top twenty. The characters are plentiful and the storyline will grab you and keep your eyes off Jessica Alba for at least a couple action sequences. And for you girls, there is plenty of healthy man meat too, so you will not be left out.

One movie left on my to see list is “Evan Almighty” and being that I just love the humor of Steve Carrell, I am sure I will at least get my moneys worth. Heck if he throws a few of his news anchor shenanigan tongue twisters he featured in “Bruce Almighty”, I would pay just to see that alone!

“See you at the movies…”
