College Football: Opening Day is upon us
August 30, 2007
All you college football fans out there can quit the waiting game, and move in front of your television tonight. That is right, the 2007 college football season kicks off tonight with several games. Even though there are not many marquee match-ups, this does not matter to the true fan. Any type of college football is better than none at all!
The biggest game of opening night is definitely LSU vs. Mississippi State. LSU is starting the season ranked number two. And even though Mississippi State has struggled as of late, this is an early season SEC match-up that is sure to be exciting for everybody involved.
Other notable games being played on opening night include: Rutgers (16) vs. Buffalo, Louisville (10) vs. Murray State, and Weber State vs. Boise State (24). As you can see, each one of these games has a ranked team involved.
For most fans, the LSU vs. Mississippi game is the one that they will watch. After all, this is the only game being televised nationally. But with that being said, local stations will pick up the other games in many areas of the country.
If you are a college football fan the wait is over. The season starts tonight, and really heats up this Saturday. It is time to get ready for another four months of fun!
