What is in that STUFF…

September 1, 2007

Great Stuff: Here is my question about Great Stuff. What is actually so great about it?

You spray it… it puffs.

Marvel Mystery Oil: What is actually in Marvel Mystery Oil?

You can find it at just about any auto part store for around three to six bucks. The store clerk will usually tell you how great it is, yet, if you put them on the spot, they actually have no idea what it actually is.

Tough Stuff Containers: Okay “Tough Stuff”; I have heard this phrase ever since I was a beat-on nerd in junior high school. What gives another’s stuff that extra ere of tough?

Could it be that stuff is actually all the same; there is no stuff greater, better, or tougher. I guess it would depend on whatever stuff they were referring.

I think a lot of manufacturers believe that if they mention stuff in the name of the product, it releases them from the responsibility to explain their product in full detail. A typical sales pitch for such stuff, goes something like this:

“Folks, folks, folks; what is this new product you ask?”

“Why, it’s stuff! It is not a cream, foam, liquid, natural, synthetic, or perishable. It is neither healthy, harmful, doctor recommended or whale tested… but it is great–and it is stuff.”

“So buy it already and quit asking so many questions!!!”
