Is Bin Laden Still Alive… Yup, it appears so : (

September 7, 2007

Today, we received information from the SITE Institute, a Washington-based group that monitors terrorist messages, that Bin Laden has a new video. Confirmation as to the recency of the video is sketchy, but is does appear that it could actually be him.

A close look has shown a darker, yet shorter beard… but he still has those deathly sunken eyes which bring the hint to possible health problems as the Kidney issues thought before.

He mentions several recent events, such as the US disapproval of President Bush and the mortgage crisis to attempt to give a sense of his presence and even though the motion of the tape stops partially through his speech, it is speculated that was technical difficulties more than false play.

Surprisingly there is not the heavy threats as usual, as more of a plea to the American citizens to convert to Islam in order to end the war:

(From Associate Press) Bin Laden: “There are two solutions to stopping it (the war). One is from our side, and it is to escalate the fighting and killing against you. This is our duty, and our brothers are carrying it out. The second solution is from your side. I invite you to embrace Islam.”

Whether or not the tape is really Bin Laden plays second fiddle to the fact that it appears that al-Qaida has regrouped.

On the good side however, the U.S. Got hold of this tape before before al-Qaida was able to play it over the air. Soon after the leak was realized, the website where they delegate such material was shut down completely… obvious in the attempt to plug their leak before any other information is shared to the U.S. in an untimely manner.

And let the games begin… not surprisingly around yet another anniversary for 9/11
