Best/Worst Halloween Costumes (Part 3)
September 30, 2007
Now that we are out with the bad… let’s put in for a few of the good:
Captain Jack Sparrow- Everybody loves the “slightly gay pirate” as Billy Crystal best describes Johnny Depp’s character from the Pirates of the Carri bean movie trilogy. These costumes are going to be what Austin Powers was 10 years ago. Keep in mind that the better quality the set up, the more cool you are going to be. Not to mention… the Davey Jones (a.k.a. Squid Face) costumes are looking pretty good as well if you don’t mind wearing masks.

King Leonidas- With the popularity of the movie “300”, and all the female attention it received… a guy probably can’t go wrong with one of these costumes. Any of the various characters would be fitting depending on your general look and body type. With the strength of reviews and popularity of this film, you can probably rest assured that most people will not be mistaking you for a “Little Caesar”, as long as you put some careful thought into makeup and accessories.

Queen Gorgo- Going along with the “300” theme, the women should not be left out and a stylish Gorgo costume will fit the bill as both sexy and stylish. This would make a great couples outfit along with King Leonidas. Even though there may be quite a few of these this Halloween, there will probably not be a lot of “kewl”ones, so you still have a very good chance of standing out in the crowd.

Marilyn Monroe- This is an oldy, but I must say that I have not seen this costume represented really well over the past few years until recently. We all know that there is always an abundance of Elvis’s around… so a Marilyn will always be in good company. Best of all, it allows the look of sexy, without the trashy, which unfortunately is something that many of this years sexy women’s costumes seemed to have forgotten how to do this year!
