NFL Weekend Wrap up
There was plenty of action to keep an eye on this weekend within the National Football League. Some teams continued to slide towards mediocrity, while others held up their high standards of success. By now, it is becoming easier to see what teams have what it takes to sustain solid play month after month.
Let’s start with the hot teams. The New England Patriots continued to show why they are among the best in the league with a 34-17 win over the Cleveland Browns. If any team has the chance to go through the season without a loss, it is definitely the Patriots.
Of course, the defending champion Indianapolis Colts are playing near perfect ball as well. They moved to 5-0 as well with a 33-14 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Quarterback Peyton Manning is once again leading the way for the Colts.
On the other side of things, the Chicago Bears may have saved their season with a 27-20 victory over the Green Bay Packers on Sunday night. Despite a slow start on defense, the Bears hung tough for the victory. This moves them to 2-3, and at least puts them back on the winning track.
This week’s Monday Night football match-up features the Dallas Cowboys at the Buffalo Bills. The Cowboys are 4-0 and the Bills 1-3.
Overall, week five is as good as over. How is your favorite team faring?
