Weekend College Football Preview
October 18, 2007
The 2007 college football season has been full of upsets up to this point. On Thursday night, Rutgers knocked off South Florida, the number two ranked team in the country. If this is a preview of the games to come this weekend, college football fans are going to be in for a real treat.
There are two match-ups that stand out above the rest this weekend. First off, the number 8 Kentucky Wildcats are taking on the number 14 Florida Gators. If Kentucky wins, they can continue their improbable run. And with two losses already under their belt, the Gators cannot afford to lose again. As you can see, this is a must win game for both teams. Unfortunately, one team will have to taste the agony of defeat.
In another SEC game, number 5 LSU is taking on number 18 Auburn. For LSU to stay in the National Title race, they need to win every game from here on out. On the other side of things, if Auburn wants a crack at an SEC title and a possible BCS berth, they too must add more check marks to the win column.
There is no doubting the fact that this weekend will make or break many teams. By the time Sunday rolls around, the college football world will have a much better idea of how the remainder of the 2007 season is going to play out. But remember, this has been a crazy season; you never know what is going to happen.
