NFL Winners
Seven games into the NFL season it is quite obvious which teams have the best chance of winning the Super Bowl. The fact of the matter is that many teams are playing great football, while others are falling way behind. The only question is: which teams will be able to keep this up over the last nine weeks of the season.
The most impressive team to date has been the New England Patriots. At 7-0, unless the Pats completely collapse they are going to win the AFC East Division. Their closest division rival at this point is the Buffalo Bills at 2-4.
Moving onto the NFC, the Dallas Cowboys are clearly the team to beat. They are 6-1, with their only loss coming against the aforementioned Patriots. Unfortunately for the Cowboys, the NFC East is full of competition. The New York Giants are sitting at 5-2 and the Washington Redskins 4-2. Unlike the Patriots, if the Cowboys are to stay on top of their division they need to continue winning.
All in all, the NFL season is 16 weeks long. For this reason, no team has the right to get too comfortable just yet. Of course, teams like the Patriots and Cowboys are in much better shape. After all, getting off to a good start will definitely help late in the season when it is time to jockey for playoff positioning.
