Hot Quarterbacks

In the NFL, a good quarterback goes a long way in making a good team. In other words, the best teams in the league always seem to have a quarterback that manages the game with a high level of success. This does not necessarily mean passing for big yards, but instead making sure that the offense moves the chains and keeps turnovers to a minimum.

Last week, there were three quarterbacks who stood out among the rest. First off, Tom Brady of the Patriots continued to put on a show. In a win over the Miami Dolphins, Brady passed for 354 yards and six touchdowns. At this time, he is on pace to break Peyton Manning’s single season touchdown record.

Despite the fact that the Steelers lost a thriller to the Broncos, quarterback Ben Roethlisberger had a big night. He passed for 290 yards and four touchdowns. Unfortunately, he also added two interceptions which greatly hurt his team’s chance of winning.

Finally, little known Texans quarterback Sage Rosenfels had a nice game by passing for 290 yards and four touchdowns. Even though he is not well known across the league, Rosenfels had quite the game.

Of course, there were many quarterbacks who did not put up numbers like this last weekend. And guess what? More times than not, bad quarterback play turns into a loss in the NFL!
