Hot NFL Running Backs
Thursday, October 25th, 2007Even though having a great quarterback is essential to an NFL teams success, a solid running back is every bit as important. And as you can imagine, if you can couple the two in the same backfield, opposing defenses are going to have quite a bit of trouble.
So what NFL running backs had good games last weekend? While there were several who starred, there are always those who stand above the crowd. And last week was no exception.
Larry Johnson of the Kansas City Chiefs is finally on track. Last weekend he rushed for 112 yards and one touchdown. Johnson is making up for his slow start in a big way.
The Tennessee Titans LenDale White contributed 104 yards and one touchdown. When it comes to the best young running backs in the league, there is no denying that White is at the top of this list.
Perhaps the best running back performance of the past weekend came from Kenny Watson of the Cincinnati Bengals. Watson managed to churn out 130 yards on the ground, while also chipping in three touchdowns. The Bengals are off to a slow start, but if Watson can continue to carry the load on the ground this is sure to change.
Good running backs are at a premium in the NFL. The three guys listed above are playing solid football, and their teams are definitely glad for this!
