Jennie is based in Northern California. She was born and raised in Indonesia, but spent most of her adult years traveling all over the world, until she found her beloved home in the United States. Academically, she has been trained in Business Administration, Education, Journalism, Technical Writing, and Law. She is currently pursuing a doctorate in eCommerce and teaches online for a university in Utah. She has studied at California State University East Bay (formerly Hayward), UC Berkeley extension, UCLA extension, Northcentral, and University of Indonesia.

In her past incarnations, she has worked as a pet groomer, a sushi maker, a legal assistant, a columnist, a law professor, a civil servant for the State of California, a translator, a book author, and an online adjunct professor. She enjoys being a writer the most, however. Borrowing George Orwell’s own words, “A writer has the desire to push the world in a certain direction; to alter other people’s idea of the kind of society that they should strive after.”

She is also known for her passion in reviewing books, equal justice for all, and nature conservation. Her other blog is UniPressBookReview.com, a complimentary review service for university press and other thinking books. She also publishes e-books on how to break into and succeed in fashion, arts, entertainment, and fun careers through StyleCareer.com. For her unique achievements in writing and entrepreneurship, she has been featured and mentioned in San Francisco Chronicle, The Independent, Entrepreneur, Home Business, Dong (France), Canadian Business, The Arizona Republic, The Daily Southtown, Fit, and Femina. She was once nominated for EPPIE Award for her e-book Guide to Become a Management Consultant.

In addition to English, she speaks Indonesian, Chinese (spoken only), and some French. She now lives in the Far East of San Francisco Bay Area with her husband and a yellow Labrador named Happy, which she adopted from Alameda County Animal Shelter in Dublin, California. Black is her favorite color and she drives a hybrid car. At last, she lives in a small world filled with idealistic notions of how the world should have been.
